My only complaint, is that the driver seat is just a bit too high. I'm 5'10" and for my foot to reach the gas pedal my heel does not touch the floor. This means my 5'5" wife can't drive it. Going to look at sectioning 1.5" out of the drivers seat riser.

Here is the drivers side riser. It has solid sides, so sectioning might not be to terrible

Awesome, thanks for the pics and explanation. Are those your stock Ford risers? Or Sprinter?

Those seat bases are stout pieces to be sure---I dare say they account for at least 50% of the total seat weight.

Those should be plentiful in most scrap yards, one of my favorite eBay sellers tends to have multiple new, take-outs from E-Series vans on their way to a converter. If you need/want something to practice on: https://www.ebay.com/itm/FORD-VAN-EC...gAAOSwo6lWJpIy

Thanks! I'll likely practice on the one that came in my van and buy a replacement if I screw it up...

Wow, I haven't caught up on your build in a long time.

I'm sure you've probably done it by now, how did the seat base mod go?
