I've read that if you swap to an '08+ front clip there's lots of room for an intercooler. A guy over on Expo put a parts list for the clip together. He did it on his Chinook for around $1300.

Edit: Oh duh. Just noticed RLwhaler7.3's front clip swap thread.

i'm not a big fan of the 08+ front end look, plus i'm not sure it will play nice with my front bumper. also there is the pipe routing issue to plumb in a a/a ic.

i think i can make a small a/w work, sitting right in front of the intake spider.
that's going to be my late spring project.

here are the ic's that i'm looking at:

Water to Air Intercoolers

Water to Air Intercoolers

the first one is preferred, as it is bigger, as the ports are the same 3" as the turbo outlet and intake manifold, but i may have to use the smaller one to make it fit. i'm really looking hard at a fuel bowl delete setup now to make some room.

I got it together enough to drive it around the block.

The Dakota digital speedo box was super easy to calibrate using my phone on the speedometer app as a benchmark. I hate how the terminal block on it doesn't hold the wires very well.

Also changed the radiator tonight. Once it warms up it was leaking, seemingly from the radiator. So I pulled it and it was obvious where the top tank was leaking. Oreillys had one in stock, so that was a quick job and another $300 thrown at the van

Aaaaaaand failed inspection due to no horn. The relay clicks, pin 30 at the horn relay has power, and the horn honks when jumped directly from the battery with a jumper...must be a bad connection or damaged wire somewhere. UGH.

We couldn't get plates yesterday as the tax office was closed, so I built a quick and dirty entertainment center cabinet. That's a 24" tv. Pics are before I made the face plate for the side there
