Regarding heat- I would look for a better fan for the radiator, as this really helps. Ford made different ones themself fit different engine designs.

I think there is only one fan for the 6.0. The deeper blades from the 7.3 or V10 won't fit.

It does seem to provide more than adequate cooling when its running. The fan-control strategy can be improved with a tuner, or even completely locked on with an over-ride switch.
