You may to radius those corners on your cuts to reduce the chances of cracks developing there. Reinforcing the fiberglass there wouldn't be a bad idea either.

Good point Bronco, I'll radius them. I'll also be using 3" flat strips of aluminum to sandwich the fiberglass base to the ambo roof, should keep the base nice and tight!

Cheers
David

I had to patch the old roof fan cutout as it was getting in the way. I'll be re-mounting it way back, near the corner.

Thanks guys!

Finally, that portion of the project is done and she's now ready for a new hat! Funny part is patching that stupid hole for the old roof vent took us longer than the rest of the project! But it had to be done and glad we did. Made sure to radius the corners, simple insurance.

We braced each single roof cross-members and added and extra one at the front. It's not going anywhere, lol.

We did have one casualty during the welding process No junk food for me I guess!

Next, bring on the hat!

And yes, I can't wait to get going with the roof! I'll be trying to do. It all in 1 day on Feb 13th (I'm crazy)! At least that's the day my buddy can help me with the welding part...

Last minute change. I had nice hollow space at the top of the cabinet so figured I'd maximize it somehow... Here's what I came up with:

Kleenex box storage

Upper front cabinet is all done, just need to varnish it and mount it once the roof is all done. Test fit was good so I can just about call it a day.

Nice work!

How did you get such nice and clean cuts on the cabinet face doors?
