Re: Any NY/NJ upfitters for "sportsmobile-like" int. convers
I'm going to guess there are lots of shops that do boat interiors and could do a van interior. Maybe better and lighter than an SMB conversion.

Thanks, i had stopped by his shop right before i bought the van, seems like a good guy....but the impression i got is that they seem more comfortable doing "installs" of products they sell [windows, fans, etc] rather than a custom conversion that would involve millwork etc

Hey DirtyJersey:
I'm doing the same thing here in Vermont on an E-250 cargo van. Mostly interior storage/bed/electric. My question is: For the interior build should I use plywood or some other less heavy board? I saw a post recommending KYDEX and also Ultralite from the Moreland Company....anyone familiar with these products?

jjtwister, you might want to do a dedicated thread with your question, lots of experience on the forum with DIY builds/materials......i finally found a local upfitter last spring, they used plywood for floor and walls/ceiling
