Re: Attaching plywood to van floor?

I used 3/4" marine grade plywood with a touch of liquid nail and self tapping screws.

Re: Attaching plywood to van floor?

Just use a few strips of silicone seal. It will keep the plywood from moving and if you ever have to take it up,you can.DON'T use screws! They will cause BIG rust issues in a few years. Also,if you have a van with EFI,think about a "trap door "over the fuel pump.Sooner of later the pump will go bad and you will be able to change it without dropping the whole gas tank.Ask me how I know all this!!Im 63 yrs old and have had vans since 1973 so I have (hopefully)learned from my past mistakes!BTW,You dont need marine plywood for floorong, unless you plan on submerging the floor. The only difference is the glue, and its way too expensive and hard to get to warrant the extra expense.Cheap old OSB is just fine..1/2 in is plenty.rick

Just catching up. Ply, inside environment, shouldn't warp. Pretty dimensionally stable. Especialy with furniture (cabinets, etc) all over it.
