How do painted windows look from the outside? Can you tell they've been painted when you're up close? I have a similar issue - way more windows than I want - although at the same time, they make the van look less like a "creepy cargo van".

I spray painted them from the inside. It will take a couple coats. The first coat needs to be very light. Then once the walls were almost up, I stuffed it with insulation. We wanted the extra privacy. We're going on a 2 week trip across the USA.

It looks like blacked out tint.

I'm still plugging away at it to finish up for the trip.

Bed and paint is in. Still trim left to do. And drawer fronts.

Cabinet test fitted. Need to make some adjustments, but getting there.

It won't let me edit and for some reason, the pics didn't show up.

I ordered the fridge and it didn't come in before I went to work. That's what that base is for. A few minor details, and she will be road ready.

When everything is ready to go (very soon), the only have to do things is finish 4wd. And I want F/R bumpers. But I'm so close to calling this one done.

It's been a long 2.5 years since I started building this thing. I'd figured I'd compile a list of what's been done for people to see and for reference later on down the road.

6 months ago, I almost sold the van, but now I'm glad I kept it. Gonna hang on to her a while. Plus, people are scared of a vehicle with 370k on the clock. I will be collecting parts for an eventual engine rebuild. But I can't justify it since she cranks up and runs like a clock every time I put a key in it.

Exterior:

Entire van sprayed with Raptor Liner.
High top w/ tall rear doors.
LED headlights.
08+ Front clip conversion.
8k towing hitch.

On the list to do:

Front bumper with 12k winch / LED's and front hitch.
Rear bumper with tire carrier and storage.
Fiamma Awning.

Drivetrain / Engine:

4" UJOR 4WD kit.
33' BFG KO2's.
17x9 Vision wheels.
2000 F-250 Dana 60 front axle. Completely rebuilt with all new OEM / Spicer / MOOG parts. (Spartan lunchbox locker coming soon)
FF Dana 60 rear with ARB RD165 air locker, 4.10 Motive gears. All new calipers / rotors / pads.
ARB OBA UJOR system.

NV271 T case (not installed yet).
Engine:

EBPV Pedestal delete.
Wicked Wheel 2 turbo compressor wheel.
SCT Tuner with custom Tunes.
3 guage pods. EGT, Trans, and boost.
Glow plug relay.
ICP valve.
4" Diamond Eye turbo back exhaust with muffler.
MRBP exhaust tip.
New Water pump.
New Radiator.
New plenum boots.
New fan clutch.
New master cylinder.

Coming soon:

Injectors / turbo / intercooler.

Interior (driver's cabin):

Toyota Sienna front seats (not the reclining type).
08+ center console.
New OEM gray carpet.
WeatherTech Floor Mats.
Pioneer head unit.
Alpine component speakers.
Full time F/R cameras.
Ram mount for phone / GPS.

Interior (rear):

Queen bed.
MaxxFan.
Whytner 45Q 12v fridge.
2000w Pure sine inverter.
Sink w/ 13 gallon water tank.
Shurflow water pump.
Thetford Curve Porta-Potti with locking base.
Camco Wave 3 Propane heater w/ quick disconnects.
Hardwood flooring.
LED overhead lights.
LED strip "mood lighting"
LED pod reading lights.
2, 100w solar panels w/ 100ah AGM battery (2nd one coming soon).
Bluetooth solar controller.
PD4045 RV breaker box w/ 12 fuse panel and 12v converter / charger / 120v shore power.

Dometic Penguin 2 rooftop AC to be installed in the Spring.

I'm sure there's more. But that's all I can think of for now.

Very useful. Just resist the urge to add up all the money you've spent. Even more so if you are married.

JUST DON'T DO IT.

My wife kinda has an idea. If I added up all the extra paint, nuts, bolts, etc.... I’d be scared to know myself.

My wife picked up the fridge from Home Depot and just threw it in the van. Gonna set it up asap when I get back home.

I also bought a Ninebot Max scooter. It's basically a folding consumer version of the rental electric scooters that are in all major cities. But this one has a 40 mile range. It will be good for zipping around town on our nationwide trip we're going on in a couple weeks. Or just going to the bathroom / store, etc. It will store under the bed.

Wiener dog tax.
