Leaving Monday for our around the USA trip, still have some small things to finish. Maybe even build a rear bumper.

I bought a Skottle. They're the tits.

Other than a good cleaning, it's done:

Added a LED reading light and LED strip mood lighting:

Almost ready to go. Almost.

We started out Monday morning in NC. Made to somewhere between Kansas City and St. Louis. Stayed at a Walmart. Second night, we mad it to Badlands NP. Spent the night, and woke up to a amazing view.

Then we went on to Mount Rushmore NP:

Somewhere in the middle of Wyoming.

Made a pitstop in Deadwood.

We got caught in an ice storm on the way to Devil's Tower. We weren't planning on spending the night there, but we did, We were the only people there.

Then we made it to Yellowstone. Pictures or words can't describe this place.

Next stop is Grand Tetons, then Rocky Mount NP, then Santa Fe...etc..

Zero crowds. It's been awesome.

Betty Sue approves of the Grand Tetons.

Camping out next to us:

Stayed at a cool place in Fort Collins. Got to charge the batteries.

Rocky Moutain NP.

Stopped by Coors in Golden.

This cool dude was in the parking lot:

I can't reply to every post, but thanks for enjoying my trip, and the tips!!

First I wanna say, we did about 7k miles. Some long 12-14 hour days driving. In Colorado, my battery light came on. Thought I was gonna have to change the alternator, turns out it was just cold. A day later it went off. Betty Sue performed flawlessly.

What I learned from the trip:

1. We brought too much stuff. Mostly my wifes fault.
2. Wyoming is the most beautiful state in the lower 48.
3. The best Ruben is in Omaha.
4. Best Mexican food ever was at the Shed in Santa Fe.
5. By far, the weirdest people were in Taos.

Here are the pics:

Forgot this one earlier:

The Rio Grande. Small note, this bridge is where Mickey and Mallory got married on Natural Born Killers.

Santa Fe, lol...

On the way home we stopped at a truck stop because it was raining / snowing. Horrible road conditions.

Here was the next morning.

Stopped by the painted Cadillac's near Amarillo.

Then it was cannonball time. Did have this happy nugget parked next to us near Memphis:

There is a list of stuff that I will change about the setup. Not much, just stuff that could have worked better. I'll post that later.

Get out and explore!

I've been working on a rear bumper with swing outs. I could have used new steel, but I decided to use used steel from old boats that have been scrapped.

It's coming together. Once I grind everything smooth and put the spindles on, Ill be ready to build the rear tire mount and cargo box.
