Waiting on a latch to come in today. Other than that, the rear bumper is done!

Seeing your photos in Post 44 really bangs home why the "environmentalists" and other "preservationists" are so passionate about what they're trying to do.

Saying such sights are breathless sounds like an understatement seeing such sights.

Thanks for sharing!

Pictures really don't do those places justice.

The crazy part is now there's long lines to get into the parks. When we went, we were literally the only people there at most places.

Mount Rushmore maybe had 10-15 people, Yellowstone was the same. 2 other camping vans there. It was a ghost town and extremely delightful.

We had the places to ourselves. It was magical.

The pinion nut on the rear diff backed off and wreaked havoc on the van.

Since that happened, I'm going with a 6" lift, 4.56 gears F/R, OX locker in the rear TrueTrac in the front and going from 33's to 35's.

Not a cheap jump, but gonna be worth it.

Thanks!

3.5 months later, I have my van back.

Custom license plate and UJOR bumper. I have emergency yellow/white flashers because I work for a mobile tire service part time.

Installed the T-Case shifter. Still waiting on springs to come in before I pull the transmission for a rebuild. Next to it is the OX locker shifter I will install tomorrow.

UJOR side steps:

I'm in the middle of a interior remodel. We have been on a few trips and found out what works and what doesn't.

Our biggest complaint was the bed was too high and the water tank kept freezing and it was too small. Also, the underbed storage was impossible to use when you wanted something all the way in the back.

What we're changing:

Lower the bed, and have full length pull out drawers like trucks have.

Larger water tank with tank heater.

Redesign the sink/fridge area.

Add overhead storage full length on driver side.

First thing I wanted to do was switch to PEX.

Water tank in place with tank heater:

I put the water pump between the diesel heater and water tank. The pump has a tee so that the water goes to the sink and the rear spigot for the outdoor shower.

On the passenger side, the rear spigot is recessed to clear the rear door. Everything will be painted. I'm also adding a water fill to the outside of the van.

Driver's side. Originally, the RV style power center was located here. It will be moved forward of the bed.

I am so happy to have found your build. Your van is literally EXACTLY what I am wanting to build for myself and my wife. We are enduro and starting to be dual sport riders and we like to travel as well. Subscribing to follow your rebuild!
