Blankout existing windows on chevy passenger van

Hello I'm new to this forum. I have been looking for a low mileage Chevy AWD cargo van but no luck yet. I have seen several passenger vans with all the windows and wondered about the feasibility of covering over windows and insulating in a way that would still look good from the outside. I know the penalty for wasting the weight of all that glass but would like to hear your thoughts. This is a fantastic source for useful information.

I think by far the easiest way would be to have them tinted with limo tint, 2%, and then cut Reflectix panels to fit them like many of us have done.

Or even easier.... Rattle can black the inside instead of tinting.

Re: Blankout existing windows on chevy passenger van

I've cut out reflexix to fit all the windows of my 2013 chevy pass van. have them numbered to match the windows, drivers side first window is D1 and so on. Depending on location and circumstaces i can place the panels to cover the windows I want to cover. Putting up and taking down the panels is just a few minutes work.
