FINALLY finished the roof rack. I'll post a video about it soon. Here are a few pics.

I added a WeBoost cell booster and Wi-Fi antenna. Next up is the RV door and close off the back wall!

Nice start! I've long thought that the box vans would be far superior to the standard van in terms of ease of building them out and space to move around in. How tall is the interior of yours? And what is this roof-top black water tank that you speak of?

I'm from Asheville (now live out in Santa Cruz) - cool to see another NC person.

I added my old awning to the box truck, with aluminum brackets for the legs.

It's starting to look like an actual camper!

After messing around with a Raspberry Pi running Venus OS software, I have a Cerbo GX with a 7" touchscreen for about $100 instead of $600.

I ripped out the old floors, and covered everything in POR-15. Then laid down tongue and groove OSB. The underside of the OSB, I glued FRP to it, to keep the water off of it.

Then RV steps were added. I haven't covered up the step wells because I want to make a drawer inside the steps for shoes, etc..

Right now the steps almost touch the ground. But they will come in handy when the box truck is 4wd.

Framed in the rear wall:

Mini split condenser and cargo box mounted:

Plumbed and bike rack added:

I wasn't happy with having just 2 small oval LED tail lights. I added 4, 4" round truck LED's and moved the license plate and license plate light to the center. It's super bright now.

I "should" have the mini split on the interior mounted this week.

And the more I look at those welds, I'm gonna grind them smooth too. lol

That’s perfect for a mini split. Nice setup on the rear. And yeah, what about that image?

It's from the Burt Reynolds photo:

And Harry and the Hendersons. If you don't know: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0093148/

A couple years ago I got a new toolbox and my wife made me take the same pic:

So I did it as a prank to surprise my wife. And I'm keeping it on there!
