FWIW, I contacted billwilson's builder by email a year ago or so - he was very forthcoming with advice and referrals to good parts places. If he was closer to me, I would have had him do some work on my van. As it was, I had to muddle through on my own But it's nice to know helpful, talented folks.

Okoume marine plywood is very popular in the boating world. 1/2 4'x8' sheet weight 37 lbs, 3/4" 4'x8' sheet weight 52lbs. Most other hardwood plywood would be closer 1/2 50lbs, and 3/4 75lbs.
