Rack looks awesome. Guess Chris changed his corner brackets from round to angles. I like the look… Your vans transformation has been really fun to watch. It's just looks amazing!

Thanks! The wide angle lens definitely makes them look more angled than they are since they are in the corner of the picture. The corners were expensive, but definitely elevate the overall look of the rack.

And yes, the transformation has been something else. Ill have t opost a side by side soon.

Got the maxtrax mounted with their mounting hardware. No spacers needed.

Nice!!!!

That's the stock Ujoint rack then for an SMB Pop Top??

I ask because I have all the 8020 to do a rack similar, just have not fully decided on how to mount it to the top yet.

Haha, yup! Assume it was for weight reasons. I added 50lbs ontop of the back part of the top and it still went up unassisted. So enought for skis/snowboard or 1 bike probably.

Chris was nice enough to just sell me the corners, sourced everything else locally/ebay/mcmaster

Get Together.....

...if you're around this Sunday we're having a little van get together in Silverado Canyon. It would be rad to see this thing in person and meet some more Southern California van people.

gahhh, missed this. I always find a way to be out of town for local meetups. I am always down to run a trail, eat a burrito beachside, or just talk vans.

Thanks for the kind words. It has certainly been a fun journey. I found this on some online site that had it listed at a dealership in Orange, CA.

I was lucky and this was probably right at the beginning of #vanlife. A similar 7.3 would probably cost close to 50% more now. Good luck and happy hunting!
