Re: Dude With Van's First Homebuild

So, the lights have been installed...

They are by far the best deal I've ever been able to find on the web. $70 for 10 meters and they sell out of California. They are a pretty good bunch of people too because I had a problem about 4 months down the road with the driver, and they replaced it within days.

I'll have more pictures of how I mounted it later. It was dark and my camera couldn't get a good shot with the lights on. Pretty groovy, huh? I know you all think I'm ridiculous...Ha

You're welcome!

I am not from Canadia (I like saying it that way), but frequent there and happened to be here and work on my van at the same time.

Re: Dude With Van's First Homebuild

The foam has been covered and now my sleeper sofa is complete! It's 100% polyester so will be easy to wash. I wish my camera took better pictures.

Finally got my other box carpeted. I used speaker carpet and LOVE how easy it is to work with

Dude, that's awesome.

My plan is to do a black headliner, then use fiber optics to do a Rolls-Royce starlight ceiling like this:

Watched a video where a guy used this instead and got great results, so I thought I'd give it a shot. It's aluminum on one side and a sticky rubber on the other. Any experiences with it?
Late to this thread, but I used Peel & Seal in my Vanagon when the B-Quiet ran out. Runs about half the cost per square foot as the name brands and is readily available. Goes on the same way with no difference in function. This is what I used.
