Re: East Coast Ground up

Again sorry for out of sequence pics.
I used a cardboard template the size of storage box and marked opening size. Then drilled a hole in each corner thru floor and subfloor which is not fastened down yet.My wife was kind enough to put her foot down, this time when I asked. I made the opening 1/2" larger than actual opening to support cover. Finished up by priming opening metal.

Re: East Coast Ground up

Had windows installed by Cyclevan in NJ. So worth the 6 hr drive. Quality job, and transforms van to the next level.
Drivers side is a slide window. Barn doors are stationary. Tilt out on passenger side. Rear door windows have vertical opening with screen.
Also installed one of two ladders from Alluminess, unfortunately the fwd ladder mount angle was off. The guys at Alluminess are sending a new one right out. Have to say another company with good company service.

Re: East Coast Ground up

Trying out this modified IKEA futon. $109. Birch 3/4 ply $45. Vs at least $1000 with shipping for factory van sofa bed.
msrmnts 48"X72" open.
Had to cut off left rear leg to go over wheel well. My do some other modifications to bring closer to wall, but for now its working.
Next on list is 24" bubble top from Biberine arriving 9/10.
Alluminess rear bumper with galley box and spare tire holder.
Then save over winter for all the interior goodies.
