I am horrible about doing that to MG. Ill ask him to help me with something or he will start to get involved in a task and then Ill remember something I forgot to ask before and ask him and then we go off on that topic... Theres a reason shops dont allow people to "Help", it would take them twice as long and you would essentially be training someone.

I love helping people do stuff on their vans or vehicles or whatever it is. But every time I do I am always amazed at how long simple tasks take compared to when I just go out and do stuff by myself on my van. My wife and I have a running joke that "it shouldn't take that long..." and then 5 hours later I am like, "Well that took longer than I thought." Every. Time.

But its what makes it all fun, ya we are doing stuff on the vehicles but we are also learning and exploring the possibilities at the same time.

Bottom line yes you would be in the way and he'd probably let you hang around, but he'd probably also charge you more money ha ha.

I'll get my chance to hack things up in the interior and all the electrical. That should take care of my curiosity for a little while.

I never really worked on cars so it's a big mystery to me, I wish I had though. I'll just keep reading and try to do some simple stuff myself. I got a few wrenches and a couple of those clicky thingys that goes round and round.
