Going back aways, when you used the thinsulate, did you go with the 400 or 600 (1" or 1-3/4")? Did you like the thickness you chose?

I ordered the 400 but may have gotten 600 as the roll was hand marked as such. But I suspect it was 400 anyway. I really like the stuff. Soft and easy to work with and the scrim makes it easy to seal up. I have some left and may make insulated window panels with it.

There are some cheaper options and you could do a good job with a lot of different materials. This stuff worked out for what I was doing and it's proximity to my rear ac/heater intake made it less dangerous. I definitely noticed the back of the van getting much quieter.

This got a bit more complicated and took a lot more time than expected. Hope I didn't miss anything!! Still gotta run the remote wires for the RBS and ACR. Didn't even get the main distribution in yet!!

Nice! Make sure they are tightened really well, maybe even consider some thread lock of some sort.

When I ran the Mohave road I came back with a lot of loose pieces that got rattled loose.

I have lock washers on all the bolts, hope that does it. I needed washers anyway as I ordered my screws from mcmaster instead. 8020 uses odd lengths so I needed washers anyway. We shall see!! It's all an experiment for the most part. At this point I am completely winging it. I came up with the access door at the edge of the seat as I was going along.

I went back and looked at where you installed Thinsulate(TM) on the door panels. Looks like SM400L so it's possible the roll was marked wrong. Sorry for the confusion.

Maybe I missed it but why do you have two ACRs?

One ACR to deal with the alternator and one RBS to isolate the battery and solar. The thought was, if I am going on a 5 hour cruise I can let the solar smart charge the battery while the alternator does it's thing.
