Foam suggestions

I am replacing the fabric and foam on the steel rails that support the SMB poptop bed.

I installed the Landau foam but now realize it takes a permanent set quite easily.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a more durable, long term foam in this location?

I had a magnetic rod holder attached here. Those indentations are permanent. Anything that even leans against for a short period of time does the same thing. The SMB foam seemed to tolerate stuff like this much better.
