Ford E350 + Seat replacement - With a twist?
Hi all,
Been reading the forums for months as I work on my first conversion, a 2005 E350 Super Duty EB that has been a blast to work through. So much good knowledge here, thankful for it. I know there are a TON of threads regarding swivel seats and seat replacements, I've read through many of them, but I have a specific circumstance that I could use some input on.
My girlfriend has a disability that causes her significant back and leg pain that is exacerbated when sitting in a car. It's a bummer, but we're trying our best to make sure that our van is in a good spot for her to really enjoy it. I'm thinking I want to replace the stock passenger seat with something significantly more comfortable for her + install a swivel base at the same time.
Two questions:
Are there any seats that are highly recommended for people with back issues? I was thinking about something like an RV captains chair, and there are plenty of options out there, but wasn't sure if there were strong feelings about the best options.
Is getting one of these going to make it more difficult to install a swivel? I know my options for the stock seats, but I'm a little bit at a loss at how to mate an aftermarket one with the right swivel, so maybe I'm wondering if anyone has a combination of these two things?
Let me know if any more info needs to be provided. Our budget is around $1500 for both seat and base, give or take.
Thanks in advance to everyone for their input!
