Got my floor put in this weekend

I think the coolest part of the home built vans, is that everybody builds them to there specific purpose and use. For my van we use it to go camping in, but most the time it is used to haul the family around and for my wife and I to go mountain biking in.
The last two weekends I got the roof put on and the rear windows put in. This weekend it was time to start on the interior. So I started on the floor.

Here it is with the top and windows done.

Here is the start of the floor. With the seats taken out.

Next I cut out the 3/4" plywood and set it in for fitment.

Then I took them out and sealed them with primer to help protect the wood from any moister that might get through the carpet from wet feet or the bikes.

Next came the carpet. In the front two feet of the floor I wanted a piece that would fold up so I could put the bikes in. The piece that folded up would protect the back of the front seats from the tires and I could keep the anchor points hidden under it when not in use.

I still need to get covers built for the wheel wells and the fuel filler area. Then I can get started on the walls, roof and cabinets.

Great work, youngster. I wish I was as motivated as you... This weather zaps my energy.

I know, wait all winter and spring for the snow to melt, then it's too hot.

I think I'd want bikes that nice locked up inside too. Very nice job and very functional.

Matt tell him. We have no seasons. It goes from cold to 115 degrees in one week. THIS is the prime time to work on projects in our parts (minus the rain)...

Matt, once I get the wall done (decided to do a removable 3 or 4 fold, plywood supported cushions, so if my fiancee and I want to get bikes, I'll able to do a similar tie down setup). i would also be able to transport big stuff.

I'll go with that material you recommended and the foam set-up we talked about. Just have to get the walls done (inverter wiring, solar stuff etc...) so i can take measurements for the width.

Nope, spring last for about 40 to 70 hours. Then cold rainy winter becomes 100+ degree summer.

Like I've never had my AC compressor grenade in Sacremento and spent a 120º weekend wondering why they leave Folsom lake a mile down a sandy hill from the parking lot...
