We took our first trip in the what my wife and son call "the man van" we went a distance of 1,250 miles and averaged 16mpg not too bad.
Cities we visited were; Las Vegas,St George,Zion NP,Hoover Dam,Laughlin and Bullhead to see some friends.
My post at the end describes what works for me (grabbing the door halfway up the window, and firmly pushing it closed so that the top latch catches). No slamming necessary. Some of the earlier posts describe closing firmly without slamming, as well.
jwintersteller and I each rebuilt our pantry hinges and as a result stiffened the door apparently, as neither of us seem to have this issue anymore. viewtopic.php?f=13&t=6958
