Have the Pop Tops changed?

I am thinking of buying a 90's Dodge van with a SMB pop top and swapping it on to my 2003 Ford van.
Does anyone know if the tops have changed over the years? Or foresee any fit issues?

Thanks

Check the width. My Chevy's top is quite a bit narrower than the Ford (~4"). I don't think the Dodge top would be too wide but just make sure.

Check the side-to-side curvature of the roof as well, or you may have to reshapre the PH top.

Interested to hear this, was a raised top discussed before, and I recall some width issues. Good luck!

Re: Have the Pop Tops changed?

Just to be clear, I don't believe that the Dodge top is the same top used for the 92+ Fords. Not to say that it can't be retrofitted, but it is highly unlikely that it will just drop on.

The Ford top shape changed between 1991 and 1992 when the body style changed.

There are also tops made for EB's vs RB's, so take that into consideration as well.

Even if it is the same top, it was machined or ground to fit the van it was going on. At the very least, you would have to reshape the contours to fit your van.

I'd call SMB and ask if the top start out the same, or if they start with different molds.
