Re: Help Needed With Upcoming Build

Sounds like Chimneyman is running an Espar hydronic unit on a closed (coolant) loop that has nothing to do with the engine cooling system. the hot coolant would go through a heater core for hot air and through a flat plat heat exchanger for hot water. Nice way to get both things with one unit. The only downside may be that the Hydronic system probably has greater battery demands as you are driving a pump in addition to the blower. Any idea on your actual power usage for this system Chimneyman? The Espar Airtronic (air only heater) is pretty miserly on battery consumption from my experience.
