Not SPAM - - - I am going to get this mod done before our trip to Baja in January but have to wait for right hand surgery to heal. Got the bolts and need to get a come-a-long anyway for stuff around the property. I have an electric top and we do carry more stuff than we should on top. I think it was said above that tightening the chains by a link would be a good thing to do... correct?

What I cannot find is how to sleeve the bars so they don't curve more than they are now. Not bent yet but they have some curve when the top is up. Not even going all the way up as I'm scared to do damage. Can someone provide a link to a thread that would detail how to sleeve the rods, please?

@ eddyturn: Sorry - wasn't intended for the contents of this Thread; there was a new member 1st time posing just above my "spam" post - with a very questionable link originating from the UK...I also reported it to the moderators when i put up this warning. Seems they deleted that post sometime between yesterday & now, so disregard my warning post(s).

I know, Felix. I saw that too and thought the same thing as you.
