Here is how the plywood stacks on top of the rear EB roof when not being used as a bed. It gives me about 75" of walk around room when the upper bed is not in use.

Removing the CCV upper bunk support system removed about 30 pounds of steel and allows me to use the upper bunk area for storage or sleeping.

Got RIP'd! Man, what a difference. This is hands-down single best thing you can do to a Quigley. I had forgotten how big the difference was since I last owned a RIP'd Q van.

Install went smoothly, I didn't even have to disconnect the front sway bar on this one. I was also surprised that it didn't noticably raise the van which is fine with me. Looks like no mods needed to rear suspension (as in blocks/lift) until I put some real weight in this thing.

I also popped my Bushwacker flares on. I'd love to get some wheels/tires on this thing but i've got to catch up on play money for awhile first.

Indeed you're spot on there Scotty! That first time cutting into an unaltered side or rear door is anxiety inducing for sure. After that first successful cut and fitting of the additional storage its no holds barred then!

I also enlarged the left side rear door not only to ease my dead bolt system installation but to capture that unused space as well. It now holds jumper cables and several Bungee cords & miscellaneous tie-down straps within handy and convenient reach.

Along with others that's a nice looking van overall I must say!

Congratulations on the new van. Look forward to following the build. You have some great ideas that have me wanting to make some changes to our can

I replaced all the CCV cushions ( which I found totally inadequate for my ailing back) I replaced them with 4 inch latex mattress' with a 1 inch memory foam layer on top. I may eventually scrap the grey mattress zip on covers and add some hard foam on the bottom of the latex.

I would have to re do the covers as they are maxed out right now with what I have in them.

Not to get off Subject but I have a question about your 2 post car lift. Curious if you could list model capacity and if asymmetric or symmetric. I've lost out on 2 already and I am going to go with a new one. Looking at 10,000 cap.

Congratulations, Scotty. Already looking great and I’ll definitely be following along as the build progresses.

Sure, it's a Derek Weaver Pro10 (10,000). Link below with all the details but it is symmetrical/asymmetrical. It's crazy to see how the prices have gone up on these. I paid $2300. It's now more than doubled. It's the first lift I've owned though I had experience with other ones at shops, etc. It has been great and trouble free. Weaver was great to work with but I bought it 5 or more years ago.

Man I would love to justify a lift, but maybe down the road a bit. I already have a high ceiling garage to go with it.
