Thanks. The bed platform is 32" plus the 8" mattress I use. That's the lowest I could make it and still have room for bikes upright in the storage below. The shower space is 77" floor to ceiling.
It was nice to meet you today! Thanks for letting me poke around in the van.
I always like to see how people setup their rigs. We all have such different ideas and preferences so it's fun to see what other people are doing.
It was great to meet you too...always interesting to put a face with a name. Agreed, everyone has different needs and different ideas on how to make the space work for them.
Thanks. The material is called Marathon and you can get it in Portland or Seattle at Perfect Fit. Several color options. They'll ship if you're not nearby.
Awesome, it looks like you wrapped the fabric around quarter inch plywood (spray glue'd?) and screwed those panels that into the 1x2 furring strips which were glued to the ceiling?
Also, what is the reflective coating inside the fiberine top?

Thanks. The fabric is actually wrapped on a thin sheeting called door skin. Not sure, but I'd guess around 1/8" thick. Light weight and does the job. We used 2x2 furling strips on the walls and roof to allow for more insulation. The shiny material you see on the roof are the foam insulation panels.
Pretty much exactly how I am going to build mine Going to start off with a new Chevy Express EB. It will be a year before I can buy one so I am taking this time for research and woodworking classes. I plan on leaving corporate America and living it up on the Oregon coast between Newport and Florence. So many nice spots to overnight park. Before I broke up with my girlfriend, I was camping out there once a month from Idaho.
