Same experience on the phone. The guy sounded like he never heard of a pipe clamp. Then when I was forced to explain “my application”, he backed away like he just got bitten by a snake and communication slowed to a standstill. Oh, and my favorite response is always, “that’ll never work.” Creativity is not their forte, I guess.

Anyway, he couldn’t get the part from Unistrut “for weeks” but didn’t tell me they had other suppliers, like the ones I found on their website later. For another day...

Meanwhile, a really helpful gal from Industrial Pipe and Valve in Vancouver is actually sending a delivery guy over on Monday with a free sample of a substitute manufacturer’s clamp. Can you believe that? To be continued...

Wow, TS, you get the prize for “This is a great idea, why didn’t I think of that?” I’m gonna take apart a couple of my 1A towers and try it out. Leave it to etrailer to have the parts available.

Many thanks to all of you who helped me figure out this project. I added some pics of my install on my build page, post #146. Unistrut for the win!
