Insulation Help for side-body insulation? Any suggestions?

I'm considering installing loose fiberglass insulation between the metal body sections of my Ford E150. Does anyone have any comments about fiberglass particles getting out into the van? About condensation? What about filling with "green fiber" blow-in type insulation? Thanks!

Use this stuff. It's already wrapped in plastic and it's made without formaldehyde.

I'm doing my E350 right now. I put fiberglass(pulled from leftover attic insulation) between the panels on the pass side, then put a layer of reflectix over everything using 3M super 77. The drivers side will get reflectix only because the rear AC draws air between the panels. No fibers loose on the pass side so far- the reflectix makes an impermeable barrier.

Thanks! Do all Forde Vans use the space between body panels on the passenger side for the A/C? (Mine is a Ford 150)?

Not sure but I think the body is the same. Both mine have been passenger vans with the factory side windows. If you have the rear ac they are probably the same. Mine has two fairly large holes in the internal skin. One is approx 6x8 right above the blower and the other is approx 8x10 in front of the wheel well. I did notice since you asked and I looked that there probably isn't enough room between the panels forward of the wheel well to put much fiberglass anyway. I'm thinking of using the reflectix on that whole side- 2 layers on the inner skin and one on the backside of the finish panel. Air space is what provides the thermal break w reflectix. Now that I think of it I may force the intake air through an opening where I can put a filter. Once I build out some disassembly would be needed if I need to clean the fan and/or coils. Hopefully I can make it modular enough to access ac for service though

That would be quite a faux pax to put loose fiberglass insulation into the cabin air conditioner plenum! You might have saved me a lot of re-work. Thanks! I'll still check into whether this is the case for my E150 cargo van. It has AC, but I'm not sure whether it blows further back than the front of the front door.

I started using E-low insulation and will continue with it.
