Hey all,
Thought I would finally post up some pics of my van and properly introduce myself. I purchased a 2000 Ford 7.3 last year from this forum, finished the build in March, and shortly thereafter quit my job to go on an epic 2 month roadtrip around the West.
When I purchased the van it had a "lite" Sportsmobile conversion with top, benchseat, and storage built into the walls:
Although this was everything I needed, I shortly found myself in the middle of a complete interior build. Much thanks to Gary from
http://www.personalizedvans.com/ in San Jose, CA. Gary has been building vans since the 1970s and his attention to detail was amazing. I chose a layout very similar to the RB50, major items for the build included:
> 1800W inverter with extra battery for 110V
> 6 gallon freshwater tank and sink
> Refrigerator
> New front seats w/ custom upholstery
> 2000W stereo system w/ 13 speakers
> Vintage bubble windows
> Custom lighting
> Rear underfloor storage
> Cherry cabinets w/ marble countertop
> New carpet, floor, and wall coverings
> Door galley
