L Track Installation - Backing Plate?

I see a lot of threads that mention L track but I can't seem to find one that addresses proper installation, particularly what should be used as an adequate backing plate for seat installation.

Can anyone help me with this?

The installation I did w Q Straint L track was backed with Simpson Strongtie Bearing plates. They are available w 1/2" hole. I used a large very stout fender washer with the proper diameter washer hole for the 5/16" bolt to compensate for the 1/2" bearing plate hole.

Figured these are holding down my house!!
