Re: lighting?

I bought my component LED's as well as some Festoon bulbs from superbrightLEDs as well. Zuren - I discovered after the fact that they make two different length of festoon's and I of course ordered the wrong ones!

I've had two of my small component lights fail, but their return policy / warranty was super easy to deal with and quick to turn around my replacement.

As far as color goes, I would also lean towards the 'soft white' vs. the 'cool white'. I've got some of both in my van and prefer the more natural light spectrum.

The before and after power draw after converting everything to LED's is pretty remarkable, that's for sure!

Re: lighting?

My 2008 E-350 EB Cargo van only had two dome lights in it when it was new, one in the front and one all the way in the back. Even my 1995 GMC had factory map lights front and rear but the Ford despite being very well equipped did not. I bought a new front light at the Ford dealer for $40 with map lights and bought 4 LED bulbs on Amazon $20. 3 for the new front light 2 map lights and one main light and one for the rear light. The LEDs for the map light had to be turned just right to work as good as the stock bulbs did. I also bought two round 2.75 inch LED lights from Van Specialties in Portland, OR (Their new shop is very nice BTW and I think I saw your van there Dhally) and installed them in the middle of the van between the other lights and wired them on two separate switches, one by the side door and the other by the right rear door so we could have light when ever we wanted as the stock dome lights are on a timer. The LED lights I bought are very small and thin and could be mounted almost anywhere on your factory headliner. I used some long wires for a test on a dark night to see where I wanted them before mounting them to the headliner. I also rewired the rear dome light with a switch and a relay so that it too could be turned on at any time,we like it for reading on our bed. When the switch is off it functions just as the stock light did and when the switch is on it runs off the Aux batteries and can be left on without timing out like it did before. With the all of these LEDs the battery draw is very low and the lighting is very good now. The bulbs I installed in the stock locations are a nice Bluish color but the LED Dome light I bought are a bit too white to me and don't seem quit as nice but really do light up the van well.
