Re: Lola, The Petroleum Falcon
I think I'm in the middle of one a clusterfook my own self---they're NOT fun to suffer though, not even a little. He who once said "it just makes us stronger......" must have been on some super strong sedatives!
My '99 Volvo S80 T6 has suddenly developed a no-start condition---could be anything from a $50 sensor to a $500 throttle body, those costs not including a tow bill "diagnostic fee" ($75-100 additional)---and that's just the guess work. For a beater car this one has the potential to be headed to the scrap yard ASAP---I won't dump money into such a vehicular nightmare.
Primary work truck needs rear springs and a cat-back exhaust system; '03 E250 5.4. That's easily enough accomplished once I settle on the parts---already have a great shop for this work.
Back up work truck might be having low coolant temp issues although I believe this can be/will be solved by installing the correct 195* t'stat.
PLUS my 20 year old security door lock finally decided to fail on me. I'm not too paranoid but its one more minor line of defense against the suburban marauders, those who try leaving unwanted crap stuck inside my front door.
None of these are all that daunting by themselves---when they occur within the same week we're left not knowing which way to turn. Not quite as bad as tax or delayed refund situations I know but it all could have spread itself out a bit right?
Dia hope you guys get all this sorted out and moving forward on The Falcon---fully anticipating your build out progress.

So first off I absolutely LOVE the name---very creative and fun too. Sadly I'm creative only in the area of offering "reasons" why I've not begun or completed something, too often that's quite unknown even to me.
As for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D---love that too--- original Lola is quite the bird. Apart from that the women are quite striking themselves, right? I'm definitely smitten by Skye & Melinda May is today's Emma Peel---same black outfits so I'm sure there's some continuity there? Jemma Simmons is cute too in her own way but not quite the femme fatale type as Melinda..........
Hope to see photos of you new bird and progress thereof too!

Melinda May is just plain hot, vs. Jemma, who's adorable. Skye? She's sort of in the middle between hot and adorable. Same thing with the guys - Grant = hot (except for the Hydra part. Nooooo!), Fitz = adorable (though neither are really my type. I'm more of a Benedict Cumberbatch kind of girl).
I watch on Netflix, though, so I've only seen season one - No Spoilers!! I've enjoyed the heck out of the Marvel movies (IronMan, Thor, et. al.) despite not being a comic book person, so kudos to Marvel.
I can't wait for season two to hit Netflix. We checked on Hulu and on the official website, but the episodes they've got are from the second half of season two, so we'd be missing six or seven episodes.

The journey has begun!
I'm on the train going through Chatsworth. If I get time, I'll start up a trip report this evening.

Love a good romance---photos only enhance it all!
Naturally when you've docked post-trip and got enough rest snap us some photos---we're all emotionally involved by now!

Back home and broke!
We made it safely, and I was glad to have the extra driver. I'm pretty bushed, so pics and details tomorrow.
