I used a Roberts adhesives product #2077 they designate as "pressure sensitive carpet tile adhesive". My carpet tiles were a commercial grade, very heavy backing that is very similar to solid vinyl flooring. After almost 3 years in use it works just fine, has allowed me to re-position several tiles over that time.
What impresses me most is the half a gallon I had left over is
still sloshing around in its original container---I fully expected it to cure into a chunk long before now.
Of course since it never really dries or cures I guess this is normal for this type carpet/flooring material.
