The Year of the Van continues....

Disassembling the interior and taking lots of measurements for the interior and pop-top design. I'm getting a bit antsy for the Cummins install too...not far from having this body off!! Everything has to come apart at some point for sound deadening and insulation but I have to remind myself that I need to drive the van for a little while longer.

Every bit of the trim is coming out. There won't be much in the van that doesn't get some sort of custom touch.

The first of three big laser cutting orders showed up today. This batch contains the new bumper mounts and aft-of-axle fuel tank cross members.

next batches have suspension parts and pop-top tent prototype pieces.

Woo hoo!!!

Two spares... The rear bumper I'm designing will have provisions for two spares. Not completely necessary to have two spares but to showcase the modular features of the bumper, I'm going the extra mile.

Dual rear axles would be cooler!!

Not opposed to two spares, I have two spares when I tow my trailer... All the same wheels and tires, and van and trailer both have spares. Of course, I've never had a flat with BFG ATs.

Which wheels are those? I like em, but I bet I'd really like em in black.

Same wheel in black:
