Need suggestions for a kitchen cabinet build

I am about to build the Stove / sink box for my conversion van and I wanted to get some suggestions. I am going to have a small sink, a 2 burner cooktop, and a propex heater in the cabinet. I am wondering about trying to hide the cook top somehow, it would be nice to have more counter space. Has anyone put a hinged counter top over their cooktop? I am most likely doing the following:

Small cabinet made out of white melamine, with t-molding edge banding
A layer of formica on the counter top
Small sink with a foot pump for water pressure.
Soap dispenser at the sink
propex heater near the floor
LP and CO detectors on the outside of the cabinet.
A drop leaf counter on the side for more counter space.
2 burner stove

It would be great to get some more ideas before I start. I know that a lot of people prefer to use a camp stove and cook outside, but I prefer to cook inside.

Thanks!

Not sure this is what you want, but have a look at the BadgerTrek site where they added a ceramic cooktop with a hinged lid that can also act as a cabin heater: http://s94153639.onlinehome.us/sportsmo ... ances.html
