What material and thickness do you use for the mattress sections?

Curious as the the advantage of rolling up rather than down. Wouldn't rolling up prevent you from only opening them partially to allow limited visibility and/or airflow?

Dai put more details on the pop top build here.

We rented Magilla for a week-long adventure at the end of July, and the pop top worked wonderfully! Initially I thought I didn't like the 'tall' look of the pop top (relative to the low profile SMB style), but that opinion completely changed once we used it. Both my wife and I are short, but the additional headroom was extremely nice to have. With the top down and the bed panels moved out of the way at the front of the vehicle, there was plenty of room for us to stand up, move around, make lunch, etc. With it up, I never felt cramped--in fact, it felt downright cavernous up there.

The remote control activation is not only spiffy, it makes it easy to walk around the vehicle and make sure the canvas is tucking in correctly while lowering. With the insulation and 3 layers of screen/window/canvas, it had a 'premium' feel. My 20-month old daughter and I slept in luxury upstairs while my wife and 9-month old slept downstairs, but there was easily enough room to accommodate all of us up top.

Without a doubt, this is in the plans for our own build.

Our new site has launched. We’re adding products every couple of weeks. Check out our Instagram for the most recent things going on.

We have our ladder which requires no drilling into your vehicle available now. We also have our blackout panels available. Going forward we have our new galley box that’s near completion a 30” and 42” kitchenette that includes cooktop/sink combo and Fridge with butcher block table, and rear storage slidouts coming soon.

Our poptop kit is ready to roll out the door for all you DIY guys. We are only installing the top in house on full vehicle builds. Our kit is able to be installed start to finish in 3 days.

If you have any questions feel free to give us a ring 970.800.1863 or message us on Instagram. I typically don’t have time to respond to everyone’s inquiries via forums as there are many of them to keep up with and we only employ a couple people. We’re not a big shop nor care to be.
Thanks for the support

***We will be at Overland expo this year, so if you’d like to see our products first hand swing by and say hi. I’m sure we’ll have plenty of beer and whiskey for everyone

Hey, I deleted my window before you did, I just prefered to go lighter weight.........(The glass is back in at the moment until I find a more rugged A/C unit capable of withstanding off road use)

If anyone is heading to expo west and wants a blackout panel or ladder, we can bring it out and install it for ya. No drilling required!
