Used the mounting brackets from an overhead shelf kit. The shelf kit was very shallow and I did not like the way the visors mounted to it.

update: check gallery for updated photos

Do you have pictures and/or description of how it's mounted?

Re: Overhead Console (Split)

This is turning into more of a project discussion so I split it out of "what I did today". Good info!

Re: Overhead Console (Split)

Looks very clean and professional. What is located to the left (square hole in wood) of the driver in the overhead? Also what is the material you covered it in? Again, very nice looking job.

Located in the square hole on drivers side is two toggle switches mounted on 1/8" aluminum plate and covered with carbonfiber tape. switch on left controls the Daytime Running Light disable and the other presently has no function. The cab module was covered in your standard speaker box covering material

Re: Overhead Console (Split)

it does look good. how well do the visors work when you rotate them to cover the left/right windows?

Visors work well to cover windshield! They are low be not low enough to cause problems. They will hit the rearview mirrow and knock it out of adjustment and block view, but that's what the outside mirrows are for......

Thanks
