I'd say on the MPG's, results may vary. I drive fast and lost a couple MPG's from the V10 but I stuck with 3.73. Probably should have jumped to 4.10 for better take off, but the V10 compensates. Waiting for my tuner.

I just really got out for the first time with the rig as a whole. Suspension settled in nicely with the added weight of the pop top. It handled great on the highway at 75 and I hit up some dirt road and spun through some snow patches as well. Van handles it all nicely. John and the crew did a great job.

As the original owner of this van, this makes my heart smile. I'm glad to see if becoming what we both had envisioned!

Hey Otter,

So what was your final build here? Did you stick with 3.73 and open diff?? Or opt for different gearing etc.

Would love to know your impressions after the conversion as far as power and takeoff etc.

Stayed with the 3.73 because I recently swapped the rear axle for a limited slip and wanted to keep that.

I'll have 1200 miles to form impressions on the way home in a couple of weeks and will be sure to post em!

I kept 3.73 and added limited slip. I like it. Got me through some ice and snow without going into 4x4. I wanted to see how it would do. I am used to a pickup with no weight in the back so I was pleasantly surprised.

Can't wait to hear your impressions.
