The angles don’t seem that bad, I think it’s just the pivot point of the trac bar or pitman arm. Here are some pictures of how it sits all finished. I ran it with the stock van pitman arm and had a decent amount of bumpsteer, then switched it out for the stock truck arm and it’s about 1.5” lower. Bumpsteer is very minimal now and not an issue, but it’s hard to turn while stopped due to the leverage of the longer arm. I talked to Action Van and they said cut and weld it to make it the size I want but I don’t really want to do that yet. I think my next step is to put the stock arm back on and move the trac bar mount up, if that doesn’t work then I’ll have to take more drastic measures. It worked out well and drives great, it’s just the stiff steering at a stop that’s bugging me now.

When I considered a longer pitman arm, I saw that my pitman arm was already about to hit the inside frame rail at right turn full lock. Any shorter pitman arm would result in less drag link travel, reduce my steering knuckle steering angle, increase my van’s turning radius, which I didn’t want.
