Re: Polar Bear 1

I got the first cushion cover put together. Sewing is hard work and I can't seem to find someone to pay to do it... The next part will be a lot more work but I'm happy with how the first cushion turned out. It was already pretty dark out by the time I finished so I'll post better shots later... but you can still get a decent look if you click through for the larger version:

Everything takes so much longer than it takes.

I've found this is true if you're trying to get it right.

Looks very nice!

Thanks WVvan, I don't always get things right, but I sure try to get close.

Here's a quick video showing the new cushions. I messed up one of the flip flaps (hard to explain) but I think I can live with it.

I like the video. That should be the new trend where we all take video of our projects!

I would definitely dig that!

Meanwhile, I caught a nice shot of the bear as my Apogaea base camp last week:

Nice! Is your van lifted? If so, how much?

If not, what size tires are running? I hope I haven't already asked you this question since I've been asking a lot. I really want tires like!

Not sure how much, would guess in the 4" range... I'm running 33" tires. They rub when I'm really twisted.

Here's another shot from the last trip:

Notice that I left a lip on the the rear shelf and she's using it to hold her beer... It's nice to have the padding pulled back a bit from the edge. This also gives a good idea of how her storage space feels when you're camping. It's a lot like having a trunk.
