Thanks for posting the pics! I’ve been struggling with the aesthetics of the high top but it looks good on your rigs

There is NO issue with the high top when inside with the top down. It is pretty darn amazing!

We have the very first Econoline Medium Top and have come close TWICE to switching to a high top for the extra room/ storage when down.

I always encourage a high top for the RB vans because they are already short on interior space.

Feel free to ping me with questions!

I do run a little heavy on the roof. To compensate, I remove gear from the skybox & help by pushing up the first foot or so. I don't want to say how heavy, cuz I'll get yelled at, but it's a bit more than recommended for sure...

The Sportsmobile penthouse bed is 39" wide and the CCV bed is 50" wide....big difference, esp for two people.

The B & D need to stay, they make the van much more structurally sound, that & the CCV frame is stronger & bolted in keeping the strength wear the roof was removed. Any other questions & Ray aka 1der will have you covered.
Any idea if they provide the option to weld the D pillar back in when switching from an SMB top to a CCV?

If a lower profile pop top is something you are at all interested in, you might take a look at GTRV.

I used to be an SMB snob about who's/what's best,,,but time and time again, the CCV has to be the best top out there...so much room, and as they say height of bed to roof...isnt there is even a pic of a member that has a double top CCV on here...Green Econoline with a huge CCV like an apartment? Anyway, good luck, can't wait to hear about your success!
