Poptop from CCV is done!

I picked up my van Last Friday evening from Derek in Colorado. He sent me some pics along the way to keep me posted on Progress, but they did not do the work justice, It is SOOOOO stout! The mechanism is absurdly solid, the bed is multi-positional (no jokes here) and the electric remote actuated lifts are nice for my bride not having to lift it. We have since camped in winter conditions with a fair bit of wind and it was unshaken. It is 8ft from ceiling to floor, so the upstairs bedroom has enough room to say the least.
Multiple people have commented how nice the fit and finish is as well. He is doing great work.

I now know what you guys are talking about with people staring at the rigs we drive around. I had it popped in my driveway working on the interior, and as I was sitting in the van making plans (daydreaming about summer) people were constantly pointing and nudging the driver to take a look on their way by. Cool.

Derek was great about following my "custom" instructions, I am working to post pics, but here is a link to expedition portal where he posted some pics of it. Overall, he has been a pleasure with which to do business.

Thanks for all the help and advice on the build, more interior pics soon.

Hope to see you all on the road somewhere along the way.

C.

That looks great. It's much higher than I expected. Either way nice choice.

Looks great! I love all the windows in the pop top. You are ready for a safari.

Looks great! I'm waiting to have mine done right now. Derek just told me he's booked up for awhile and I'm almost ready to have mine done, but I have to work out the 2000 mile distance.
