Propane connection questions

I just installed a 7.9Gal manchester tank on DS of van. I have a plumber coming over tomorrow to look at appliances ( 2 way fridge and propex 2000 for DS of van. 2 burner stove top and tankless water heater to go on PS)
He is not sure of piping to use,(Black pipe under van and copper inside to the appliances) and if he should install one manifold for all 4 appliences. He was told it is not massachusetts code its federal DOT regulations. Im at a loss to find any info.
Could someone whom has installed themselves or knows what piping was used and pics would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Paul

Re: Propane connection questions

All propane plumbing on my SMB is copper tubing. All done by SMB.

No iron pipe, no copper pipe.

Re: Propane connection questions

Thanks Mike. Is it Copper tubing from the stage 2 regulator at tank or propane rubber hose?

No rubber, all copper tubing. As larrie said, flared fittings.

Re: Propane connection questions

Mine is plumbed mostly with the rubber coated flexible propane tubing. It was inspected by the State of Oregon so it must be OK at least in OR. On our frig and cooktop the flex hose is connected directly to the appliance since the hose has a flare conneciton on it.

The Propex requires a copper tubing final connection to adapt to it's foreign threads. IIRC the adapter is a compression type and is provided with the furnace.

You can just see the adapter on the furnace.

Copper tubing down through floor, along with inlet and outlet air tubing.

Adapter from flex hose (flare) to NPT to copper compression under the van. I put the adapters under the van because space was tight near the furnace, and to minimize propane connections inside the van. I was also concerned that the hose might put too much stress on the furnace gas connection.
