Roof racks

Just wanted to know if there were any other roof rack, or company's that make them for our vans? I have looked into aluminess and I joint. Wanted to know if there was maybe a cheaper alternative. Or just just feed back from your experience in the aluminess and u joint racks?

I'm in your same boat, leaning towards Ujoint. I like that for that one its much easier to add and subtract items as you go, not to mention its cheaper. I might as them If i can just get the custom parts from them and source the 80/20 locally

Yes there is another company opt overland makes a sweet rack like Ujoints and with all due respect to Chris and his awesome products. There's is just as nice and half the price for those that are cost conscious. If you check out there Facebook page you can see there new rack and a super sweet ladder set up. https://www.facebook.com/optoverland...66493787016896 both the ladder and rack are shippable.

Thanks MSD I'm going to check them out.

Bemerritt I kinda like unjoints concept as well, but for some reason like the look of aluminess rack. I talked to a few metal fabs out here, I just think I feel a little more safe with someone who has a little more experience than someone trying it out for the first time.

No experience with either Aluminess or Ujoint but I looked hard at the latter before deciding on an Eezi Awn K9 on my van. Primarily for the weight but a major factor in rack choice IMO is whether it's going on a poptop penthouse or not.

Probably not a viable option, but I'm super happy with the aluminum diamond plate roof deck, that came with my van from when it did news work:

OTOH, if you can find one in a junkyard, grab it.
