Rubber Mat Template?

I'm gearing up to start my build and have a quick question.... My '99 E250 has a factory rubber mat the full length of the van. Will I be able to use that as a template for the plywood flooring?

Thanks for your time- Gary

I don't see why not... just make sure it's not rolled in any corners and actually fits the van floor.

Re: Rubber Mat Template?

I used my as a template, but I did cut about .5-.75" larger than the mat knowing that I would be taking it out again and trimming it a couple times.

One thing that I did do is cut holes in the floor where there are body panel holes in the even I want to run wire or other through the floor.
