Shocks for 2wd E150?
Finally in need of shocks for my '01 E150 2wd, but would like to improve a little over stock for mild offroad and rough roads... but I can't seem to find any part numbers or cross-reference info anywhere for a start. Anyone here able to use Procomp, Rancho, etc on your van? I'll need to run slightly longer for a 2" lift, but even a stock fit would give me a starting point for reference...

Fox shocks, tuned by agile. Just buy the good ones right off and never look back.

I’m headed down to WeldTec in a December to put in the Baja Grocery Getter kit. Fox shocks there. Part number maybe be available on their website or by calling. They’re super friendly.

Their website states that they are for converted 4wd applications, no price either... I'm betting they won't be in my budget this time around. Looking to keep it under $300 for all 4.

Just came across this thread in a different subforum:
http://www.sportsmobileforum.com/for...s-20355-2.html
I wonder if these will work for an '01 E150... almost 2" lower stock ride height, but I don't know if the travel is the same. OEM shocks for 1/2 ton aren't the same as 3/4 or 1 ton... I do intend to lift it 2" later down the road, but for the price of the Fox shocks, if I were to go that route, I wouldn't be lifting it at the same time.

I have the fox on 2 2wd vans. They are awesome. They run $165 each though, so it may not be in the budget. You can also get them from Action Van Suspension. I know weldtec has been having a hard time getting them from Fox because they are back ordered.
Good luck, let us know what you decide. The fox shocks should work on anything from stock to 6" of lift, but I'm no expert.

Few years back I used bone stock shocks for a baseline on our 98 e150 club wagon.
meh. Good for what they are for this beater van.
Im a thinking of trying the Monroe gas-magnums. ~$50 each.
I'm sure they'll be good for (my) application.
YMMV.

I put a set of four Bilsteins on my 2WD 98 E250 over six years ago. Not the cheapest, but they’ve been great and I’d do it again.

Same here----have now installed my fourth set on different E-Series, all 2WD and on-highway only. Yeah maybe they're 40% more than typical on-road shocks---smart shopping finds them for about $80 each landed, my go-to site is eShocks.com, Amazon a close and convenient alternate supplier.

Rock Auto. Every time I think about buying something for my van, my son informs me I need to be shopping for alternates at Rock Auto! impertinant youth
Of course i have to pay people to do my mechanical work while he goes to his dad's house to fix vehicles. I just don't get why my ex won't allow my van over there for us to work on!
