Re: Slow and Low

Larrie- Thanks man!

Bronco Hauler- Yeah still battling the pros and cons of bubble top or pop top...and battling the cash it will take!

86Scotty- Thanks man!

Buffalo- I ran a board along the ribs of the van behind the lower cabinets and also cut a small notch in the base so that it fits nice and snug to the van side. I also added some 90 degree angle aluminum to various spots to help hold it all down. The top of the closet is screwed at the base as well as at the top. In the future I am building a shelf that will run from the top of the closet on the drivers side to the passenger side of the van and that will also help shore it all up. As of now it is super tight and I have no shifting at all. This thing is ridiculously solid which I attribute to dumb luck and careful rationing of beer during the build.

Re: Slow and Low

Great! Thanks for the info! I love your setup and am hoping to do something similar!
It's that beer rationing that always screws things up for me though! I'll take your advice about all of it for when I get to that point! I like the shelf across the back idea too.

Re: Slow and Low

Nice progress! I like the cabinet builds and the lay flat bench. Coming together nicely.
