Re: SOCAL build
Don't particularly care for chrome, never have. I bought this front bumper today for $40, will sand and rhino line black along with front grill. Cant afford Aluminess bumpers now, budget for this project is about blown...
Bumper looks bent up in pic but it is square and true.

Re: SOCAL build
Out with the old, in with the new. A little elbow grease really makes you feel good sometimes. These seats really cleaned up nice, they where just sitting in storage so nothing major.

Re: SOCAL build
I really like the new seats. Old ones where not to bad but these are spotless and have the high back with arm rest.

Re: SOCAL build
Very nice, big improvement I'd say. I can't stand seats without an armrest.

Re: SOCAL build
Since I had some time to kill I passed on the lesson of sanding. Start with 80, then 120, and wrap up with a wet sand of 220. Then we moved on to the lesson of how to spray paint, that might of been a bit to much for 12 but I think he got the basics.
With about 5 coats a wet sand tomorrow and a light coat, should be ready to go back on.
I primed first then painted, 3 prime, 2 light plastic dip.

Re: SOCAL build
For my teardrop, I'm also going to cut out some of the crossbars on my roof rack to allow my Fantastic Fan lid to open. I'm not carrying very heavy items, so I'm not really worried about compromising the structure. If I ever get worried about it, I would probably add expanded metal to mine like you did.
Looks like your build is really coming along.
