Re: SOCAL build

Mounted Solar Panel and LED lights, pre wiring is done and tested. Still need to clean up the wiring. I used this plastic piece on another vehicle, it was on there for 5 years and no leaks. Cant remember what it is called but you can get it in the electrical section at home depot for about $1.

Re: SOCAL build

Side notes:

I climbed all over the rack and I weigh 160, much more weight up there I would add a third bar across the middle.

I saved money by doing the rack this way but with time in I should of bought a Aluminess.

On each side of the rack I have just about 4" of room. I was thinking about moving the rack to one side and using a 7" x 11' pipe for additional water storage or just storage. We roughly figured the weight of that would be 150lbs and if I remember right 14 gallons.

Another water option I was thinking about is 3" pipe all the way around the rack.

There is additional room on the ladder rack so I am open for options.

Re: SOCAL build

If you really care too you should look into plasti-dip'ing the bumper and the grill to get it an even and smooth finish so it doesn't just look like it's been primer'ed.

That's a cool idea......black ABS......perhaps a schrader valve to add a little pressure.....
