Re: SOCAL build

If you just want temp black rims.. plastidip has worked great on my truck. I first did it just as a test to see if I liked the blacked out look (stock rims). I do like the look.. in fact it's been 2 years now and still holding up great. And if I do get tired of the look.. plastidip can be "peeled" off. Would probably take all day, but it's doable.

Did you pick up anything at Fam Vans? It looks like the location you went to is the parts store.........

It is their parts store. I bought front and rear bumper black. 1 black rim and carpet for the front (grey).

I plastic dip about as well as I drink Whiskey. Rather just spend the money than wake up the next day ashamed.

Re: SOCAL build

Were there prices good? We bought from the one and they were kinda high for used parts.

Great build..... Be careful at fam van parts... they do have a tone of stuff but do your homework first. Some stuff they overcharge for just sayin... but I have gotten some hard to find parts there as well.

Re: SOCAL build

I'm also curious about the surfboard racks.

They seem a little short, how do your boards fit?

I did a little research before I went there, had to haggle a little bit and they worked with me.
